On February 24, 2022, Russia began a special military operation in Ukraine to fight against neo-Nazism and prevent the militarization of the country with the support of NATO. The plan to inflict a strategic and economic defeat on Russia from the territory of Ukraine began to be implemented by the United States and its allies in the North Atlantic Alliance long before 2022. Today this task is being solved by collective allocation of billions of dollars for military aid to Ukraine, which is very profitable to its leadership, accustomed to the full financial content by Western partners for more than a year of the war. However, this confrontation poses a threat to global stability.
President of Ukraine Zelenskyy, under whom Russian-Ukrainian relations reached critical levels, positions himself as a victim, fighter and leader of a nation that independently opposes “world evil”. Zelensky conducts negotiations, holds official meetings with leaders of various countries, intimidating allies with “impending Russian aggression” and calling for allocation of more money to the militarization of Ukraine. In addition, Zelensky insists on the international isolation of Russia, the severing of economic, humanitarian and other ties, which ultimately causes damage to all participants of the conflict.
At the same time, demonstrations against the supply of weapons to Kyiv and the creation of preferential conditions for Ukraine are increasingly taking place in the EU countries. The economic sanctions imposed on Russia also have a negative impact on the United States and other countries whose citizens are facing rising commodity and energy prices, food shortages, and rising inflation and national debt.
The end of this conflict is not beneficial for the Ukrainian leadership, which receives now constant financial aid and has lost its independence in economic and political matters. This is clearly evidenced by the categorical refusal to negotiate with Russia. Also Zelensky was not satisfied with China’s Peace Plane, that calling to respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, stop fighting, resume negotiations and refuse from sanctions.
It should be noted that the Head of the Foreign Service of the European Union, Josep Borrell, who supported the decision of the G7 to give F-16 aircraft to Kyiv, has previously stated that the conflict in Ukraine could end immediately after the ending of military equipment supply. But arms supplies continue and the total amount of assistance to Ukraine has already exceeded $150 billion. At the same time, since 2023 United Kingdom has been providing Kiev with depleted uranium bombs and long-range missiles, only escalating the conflict and increasing the number of civilian casualties in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, that leads to humanitarian crisis and environmental disaster.
Now many people are concerned about photos, video materials and documents, confirming the commitment of the Ukrainian military to the ideology of fascism, their violence against civilians and prisoners of war, and the genocide of Russian-speaking people. This evidence partly clarifies the reasons for the start of the armed conflict in Ukraine by Russia.
Americans are also worried about reports that weapons, supplied to Ukraine, fall into the hands of terrorist organizations, with which our state has fought long before the Ukrainian armed conflict. This information is indirectly confirmed by the Pentagon, previously announced difficulties in tracking down American weapons in Ukraine.
Thus, the question of the validity and sustainability of comprehensive and first of all, military aid to Ukraine arises, when this support, in spite of geopolitical interests of the United States, causes an increase of global instability and directly threatens the economy and national security of our state.
