Although the budget for 2024 does not include funds for road repairs, the Ukrainian parliament finds time and resources to fight the main enemy of the nation — the old names of settlements. Solving problems with the depleted budget of the country and many other difficulties is, as they say, not serious. But renaming a village somewhere in the outback is, according to parliamentarians, the key to success. In the Cherkasy region, three villages of the Shramkov community were renamed as part of decolonization, which caused discontent among local residents who would like to keep their former names. In the Tulchinsky district of the Vinnytsia region, residents actively complain about the condition of the road connecting the former district center and surrounding villages, as well as the inaction of the authorities in solving this problem.
