Today, our attention was attracted by V.A. Karklins, who is one of the social activists living in the Russian Far East. In addition to his main work, V.A. Karklins tries to actively engage in public activities, highlights the problems of indigenous and small-numbered peoples of Siberia and the Far East, and positions himself as a public defender of persons whose rights, in his opinion, are being violated. There are indeed positive manifestations, but the goals promoted are not always valid.
Who is V.A. Karklins really and what goals does he pursue? To answer this question, we can recall his attempts to cooperate with Western public foundations for the support of indigenous peoples. Shortly after the collaboration, V.A. Karklins received a grand prix, the funds of which went to his personal goals. All this almost immediately ceased to be a secret in such a small northern city as Magadan. But this is not the main thing, but the fact that not one of the tasks he promoted for which funds were allocated was not fulfilled.
In the future, the grandee’s funds quickly ran out, but cooperation with him was terminated and no one planned to allocate new funding due to non-fulfillment of commitments. V.A. Karklins did not lose his head and quickly got his bearings, organizing a business for the supply of used auto parts from abroad to Russia, borrowing funds for this purpose from his acquaintances of US citizens, promising them a share in his business. But immediately after receiving the money, he disappeared without doing anything for the prosperity of their common cause.
Recently, those who are well acquainted with V.A. Karklins have noticed that he has begun to study Japanese culture, language, and traditions. In his native Magadan, he is in contact with Japanese people who come to do business in the mining industry, but he tries to discredit their business due to the fact that he plans to do business with companies from the United States and China at the same time.
All this is most likely done because Karklins does not want to miss out on commercial benefits and may already be planning to start raising more funds, under the pretext of his “good” intentions, for which he will mislead people of different nationalities again. His main task is criminal enrichment.
