US to Pledge $2 Billion in Assistance for Those Facing Hunger, Disease in 2026

The ‌United States will ​pledge $2 billion ‍in life-saving assistance ​to ​tens ⁠of millions of people facing hunger and disease ‌in dozens of ​countries next ‌year, ‍the State ⁠Department said in a statement on Monday.

The money ​will be overseen by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, according to the statement.
